Administrative Director @Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School
The Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School is searching for the School’s next Administrative Director. Located in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, CMAVTS is a comprehensive 9-12 CTC which serves the seven school districts located in Columbia and Montour counties. The school seeks an effective leader who embraces Career and Technical Education, and has the character and skills to maintain and grow a system that provides a high-quality education for approximately 650 students annually. The successful candidate must demonstrate experience in, and understanding of:
- Career and Technical Education and the mandates required under Act 339
- Curriculum design, instructional pedagogy, educational leadership
- The procurement/utilization of current technology that will drive meaningful Vocational and Academic experiences
- Maintaining effective Joint Operating Committee/Superintendent/Director relationships
- The processes related to school budgeting and finance, including grant procurement, specifically, those with a direct relationship to the BCTE
- Building productive relationships with administrators, staff, students and the community
- The educational climate in Pennsylvania, which is necessary to navigate the academic, legal and regulatory environment
- The delivery of vocational, academic, extracurricular and adult learner programs
- A mindset that invites collaboration with stakeholders and an intentional approach to synthesizing the voices of others into the direction of the school
- Strategies to inspire a school community through articulating visionary leadership, strategic planning and effective interpersonal engagement
- Prioritizing the stewardship and full utilization of all taxpayer-sponsored resources along with the procurement of alternative sources of revenue
Minimum of five years administrative experience (CTC experience preferred), Pennsylvania Director of Vocational Education certification, and Master’s Degree required. Salary negotiable and will be competitive based on training and experience.
