Facilities Manager @ Eastern Center for Arts and Technology
Eastern Center for Arts and Technology, a public career and technical school, has an opening for a Facilities Manager. The Facilities Manager will provide leadership and oversight for the maintenance and custodial operations for EASTERN’S building and grounds to provide a safe, secure, functional and healthy environment for students, staff and the community.
Essential Functions:
- Plan and direct the work of facilities personnel to keep building and premises neat, clean and safe.
- Oversee and manage facility use including opening, closing, cleaning, maintaining and secured daily.
- Determine and initiate necessary action to complete repairs in accordance with policy and federal, state and local laws.
- Conduct routine inspections to analyze the needs of the school facilities and make recommendations to Administration.
- Knowledge of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, HVAC and general building trades (roofs, doors, concrete) as necessary.
- Manage facilities budget.
- Act as a liaison with vendors and contractors.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize job responsibilities
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Demonstration of problem-solving abilities
- Computer skills required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Background check and clearances as required by school code
- Clean driving record

Terms: Salary in accordance with qualifications and experience. Start date 7/1/2020.
