Director of Student Services

The Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU) is located in Central Pennsylvania. The CAIU serves 24 school districts, 2 technical schools, and numerous non-public, charter, and cyber-charter schools in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and Northern York Counties.

The CAIU is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to fill the position of Director of Student Services. This position provides expertise and leadership to the Student Services Team of more than 450 employees, and directly supervises 12 program supervisors. This is a cabinet level position that reports to the Executive Director.

The Director of Student Services must have expertise, knowledge, and demonstrated experience in:

     Special education regulations and requirements

     Programming for students with disabilities

     Fiscal and business practices

     Instructional practices

     Student assessment

     Planning and implementing systemic programs

A Master’s Degree is required. A PA Administrative certification as a Supervisor of Special Education, Principal K-12, or Superintendent K-12 is required.
