Director of Secondary Education
Neshaminy School District is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Secondary Education. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Secondary Education establishes an organizational structure and educational programs that are conducive to creating conditions of success for all students in the secondary schools to meet high educational standards. The Neshaminy School District is looking for an innovative educational leader who will help the system realize its mission - to empower each child to become a productive citizen and lifelong learner.
Qualifications for this position include the following:
- Earned master's degree and additional graduate work in education, supervision and/or administration.
- Pennsylvania Letter of Eligibility for Superintendent or Principal Certification (K-12 or Secondary).
- Successful experience as a professional educator including teaching and administration.
- Strong human relations, communications, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of K-12 school programs and practices, with specific knowledge associated with secondary education practices.
- Knowledge of educational innovations and trends in education.
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania school law in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and special education.
