Superintendent

Superintendent – Whitehall-Coplay School District, Lehigh County, PA. Appointment on/about May 1, 2021. Enrollment approximately 4,300; grades K-12. Successful candidate will be a strong leader that will demonstrate ability to assess areas of district improvement in all support services areas and then oversee major district initiatives – both educationally and operationally – and address the challenges, issues and needs inherent in such projects. Professional attributes must include demonstrated skill in supervising employees at all levels and has developed a programs for staff evaluation and a corrective action plan, new staff orientation, and staff recruitment; ability to work in a culturally diverse community with a wide range of Socioeconomic levels; recognize situations that call for independent judgment and quick thinking and react positively, have transparency with the board, community and staff; and describe decisions in which the board should participate — provides evidence of a decision making style that places emphasis on board involvement. Salary negotiable and will be competitive, based on training and experience, qualifications and meeting board criteria including but not limited to the skills listed above.
