The Board of School Directors for the Pennsbury School District is seeking an experienced, student-centered, highly qualified leader to fill the position of Superintendent of Schools. The future Superintendent will embrace our proud traditions and diverse community while driving the district to best prepare our students for a successful future in a global society.

Located in southeast Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the Pennsbury School District is home to an economically-diverse community of residents ranging from industrial workers to professionals who commute daily to New York City, Princeton, and Philadelphia. The District covers 41.7 square miles and is comprised of four municipalities: Falls Township, Lower Makefield Township, Tullytown Borough, and Yardley Borough. With an enrollment of approximately 9,979, the Pennsbury School District currently has ten elementary schools (K-5), three middle schools (6-8), and one high school with two campus buildings.

Team Player - Working well with everyone from the Board to the staff to the community is critical to our Superintendent being able to effectively develop, and efficiently implement, programs and changes.

 

Excellent Communicator - The communication style of our Superintendent should encourage new ideas and constructive discussions from the Board, community, staff, and students. All communications and information should be honest, transparent, positive, and encouraging.

All applicants will need to submit a letter of inquiry, resume, transcript, university credentials, and three professional references along with a 1-2 page statement on their philosophy of education and how they would implement that philosophy in the Pennsbury School District. Qualified applicants will also be expected to submit all required clearances including Act 24 (PDE Form 6004), Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, a PA Health Form, and a TB Test.
