Human Resources Manager

Lower Merion School District is seeking a key leader within its organization: Human Resources Manager.
 
The HR Manager role focuses on facilitating positive employee relations, enhancing staff performances, and promoting an organizational culture of inclusivity and belonging. The HR Manager will be responsible for supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies as well as developing programs and policies that will successfully attract, develop, and retain top talent of a diverse workforce. The position oversees teacher licensure and professional staff certifications, employee performance counseling, annual personnel evaluations and related talent management areas. The position manages a department budget, uses HRIS technology software and procures HR contractual services. The position also leads personnel investigations, state/federal/local compliance efforts, and personnel training/development programs.
 
Successful candidates will possess leadership competencies to work with and lead a team of six (6) HR professionals, implementing an effective department plan that emphasizes communication and customer service. Experience in recruiting talent, benefit administration, and budgeting is required. Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the public, board members, administrators, teachers, support staff, and applicants. Ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts to staffing models is desired. Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal policies/regulations/laws and internal audits as they pertain to human resources functions. Candidates must be proficient in using technology including all Microsoft Applications with knowledge/expertise in HR Software.
 
Master’s Degree in public/business administration, law or human resources fields is desired. Job-related experience in public school districts is an advantage.
 
This is a 12-month personal services contract position and is a direct report to the Assistant to the Superintendent for District Administration
