Superintendent of Schools
Permanent position available for the 2021-22 school year. Enrollment 610, Annual Budget $16 million. Appointment on July 1, 2021. The desired candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, maintain a high standard of ethics, be a child advocate and integrate personnel management with supervision. A strategic leader with democratic processes will enhance team building in a visionary and transparent environment. Areas of expertise include curriculum development and management, best teaching and technological practices, and budget development and management. Success in community engagement and involvement is expected. Previous experiences in achieving high academic performance, creating academic equity, and sustaining the health and safety of all in an inclusive setting are high priorities. Salary is negotiable and regionally competitive based on experience and training.
Qualifications: The following qualifications are required: Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Superintendent of Schools in Pennsylvania; Masters Degree required, doctorate preferred; PA Standard Teaching Application, University Transcripts, the Nepotism Prevention Declaration, Current Act 24, 34, 114, and 151 clearances (dated within one year), Act 126 clearance, and Act 168 Disclosure Releases (all required forms are available on the School District’s Website, www.sulcosd.k12.pa.us under the Employment Tab).
