Assist the Director of Physical Plant in overseeing the operation of all school facilities and grounds including the planning and implementation of maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and cleaning; capital facility planning; and, the management of construction projects. This will include:
- Recruitment, training, assignment, and supervision of physical plant staff.
- Management and review of renovation and construction projects and utility/energy related concerns including field over-site;
- Assist in the management of the asbestos program under AHERA regulations.
- Compliance of facility related laws, codes, and environmental regulations.
- Preparation of technical specifications for a variety of bids and projects.
- General administrative duties such as budgeting, payroll, and approval of purchases.
- Security and safety related issues by serving on the Health and Safety Monitoring Committee and writing, revising, and implementing the Emergency Operations Plan.
- Oversight of district environmental issues and maintenance of proper records.
- Development and monitoring of files for all buildings including construction documents, plans, specifications, contract bids, and other pertinent information.
- Maintaining communication with a variety of committees, community groups, and outside agencies, during and after working hours.
- Coordination of the use of all district facilities with outside groups.
