Elementary Reading Specialist @ Eastern Lebanon County School District

The Eastern Lebanon County School District is now accepting applications for a permanent position as a Reading Specialist for immediate employment. The successful candidate should have experience teaching students of varying academic and social emotional needs at the elementary level. Strong student engagement, communication skills (verbal and written), excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and effectively collaborate with classroom teachers and paraprofessional staff members are desired. The successful candidate will be responsible to collaborate and work with regular education classroom teachers, special education teachers, and paraprofessionals to design, write, and implement literacy lessons and interventions in the classrooms to ALL students in small group settings. Additionally, the successful candidate will be accountable to progress monitor, deliver a variety of assessments, enter data, examine data to lead grade level data meetings throughout the year. 

Minimum Requirements:
Certification in:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate
  • Pennsylvania Reading Specialist Certification

Minimum Requirements:
  • Current Act 34, 151 and 114
