Computer IT programming and Software development instructor @ Delaware County Intermediate Unit

The job of the Computer IT Programming and Software Development Instructor is to provide instruction that prepares students to apply technical knowledge and skills to support problem solving and the design and development of software applications. 
 
This program will enable students acquire the skills to analyze, design, implement, test, and document an application solution. The program operates a state-of-the-art network computer system and its associated peripheral equipment to work on live problems, utilizing business software and object-oriented integrated development environments. Concepts delivered will provide the basis of understanding in the area of computer programming and are applicable to business applications, mobile applications, and video gaming.
 
Key characteristics of probable candidates include: problem solving, application of technical knowledge and skills to support problem solving, design and development of software solutions, ability to deliver a basis of understanding in programming for business, mobile, and video gaming, knowledge of databases.
 
Candidates should also be able to display experience related to the program of study task summary as follows:
 
A program that prepares individuals to provide and manage data systems and related facilities for processing and retrieving internal business information, select systems and train personnel, and respond to external data requests. Includes instruction in cost and accounting information systems, management control systems, personnel information systems, data storage and security, business systems networking, report preparation, computer facilities and equipment operation and maintenance, operator supervision and training, and management information systems policy and planning.
 
Candidates must have minimum of 4 years of work experience and be willing to earn a Vocational Teaching Certificate. An alternative path to certification will be considered for a candidate with a current Pennsylvania teaching certificate in areas of Math, Technology Education, Business or Computer Science.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience/interest in computer science, data analysis, or programming. 
 
Salary will be adjusted based on related experience and will be competitive to industry in region.
