Rose Tree Media School District has the following vacancy:
POSITION: REPOST - DISPATCHER
COMPENSATION: PER ADSUP II AGREEMENT
LOCATION: TRANSPORTATION
REPORTS TO: SUPERVISOR OF TRANSPORTATION
JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the dispatching of the bus fleet including providing coverage for absenteeism, coordinating athletic trip coverage, aiding drivers via 2-way radio, communicating with parents, schools and the public regarding school bus/van problems or questions.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have or be able to obtain CDL License, School Bus certification with ‘P’ endorsement and pass a school bus physical. Must be familiar with district geographic area. Submission of pre-employment paperwork; medical examination, all three clearances (PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal Record and FBI done through the Department of Education and Submission of Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Form in accordance with Act 168 of 2014.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach above and below the waist. Ability to reach above the head and reach forward. Ability to use fingers to pick, handle, feel and grasp objects, tools, or controls. Ability to use both hands for repetitive motion. Use of hand strength to grasp tools. Ability to bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel, push, and pull. Ability to life/carry supplies weighing 30lbs or more. Ability to mostly sit with some walking and standing.
LICENSE: Within ninety (90)-days from date of hire, applicant must obtain a valid CDL driver’s license with air brake and Pennsylvania school bus endorsement.
