IT-Web Design Teacher @The Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center

The Reading Muhlenberg CTC is accepting applications for an IT-Web Design Teacher (CIP 11.0801) for the 2024-2025 school year.

Full-time (187 Days); Family Benefits; State Pension (PSERS)
Minimum Qualifications:
• Pennsylvania Instructional Teaching Certificate in Business, Computer & Information Technology 1603 or Digital Web Design 2586 or
• Minimum of 4 years’ trade experience in all phases of Web Design including:

• Documented experience with HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript, graphics applications, and other authoring tools
• Ability to edit, publish, and design, documents, images, graphics, sound, and multimedia products on the World Wide Web
• Instruction in Internet theory, web page standards and policies, elements of web page design, user interfaces, vector tools, special effects, interactive and multimedia components, search engines, navigation, morphing, e-commerce tools, and emerging web technologies

• Willingness and ability to complete all necessary steps toward obtaining permanent teacher’s certification through the PA Department of Education
• A desire to work with and motivate high school students
• Knowledge of computers and software applications
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills
• Eligible to obtain PDE-related Act 34, Act 151 and FBI clearances.
• Must pass a physical and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
