Networking and Operating Systems and Security Teacher @MBIT

NETWORKING AND OPERATING SYSTEMS SECURITY TEACHER 

START DATE: August 2024 

LOCATION: Middle Bucks Institute of Technology-Jamison, PA

DESCRIPTION: 

Full-Time Permanent Networking and Operating Systems Security Teacher position available for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidate must have 4 years of paid industry experience required. Experience working with high school age students or prior teaching experience preferred. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide instruction in the Networking and Operating Systems Security program. Develop competency-based curriculum and performance-based instruction; conduct all classroom activities as validated by the Occupational Advisory Committee. Ability to plan, assess and supervise students in a classroom and laboratory setting. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Pennsylvania certification in Career and Technical Instruction or willingness to enroll in coursework to obtain – Career and Technical/Instructional 2600 (Computer Networking 2560); minimum of four (4) years of paid occupational experience. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, and CompTIA Security+ certifications preferred. Required skills include but are not limited to the following: the design, implementation, and management of linked systems of computers, peripherals, and associated software. Provide instruction in operating systems and applications; system design and analysis; networking theory and solutions; types of networks; network management and control; network and flow optimization; security; configuring; and troubleshooting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. 

Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent 

Compensation: Per MBEA Teacher’s Contract
