Automotive Technology Instructor

Are you a seasoned professional in the automotive technology industry? Are you eager to inspire the next generation by sharing your expertise with high school students?

Eastern Center for Arts and Technology is seeking a permanent, full-time Automotive Technology Instructor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the competency-based curriculum as validated by the Occupational Advisory Committee. The curriculum covers concepts in the areas of electronic systems, brakes, suspension and steering, engine performance and repair, automatic and manual transmission and transaxle, and heating and air conditioning.

Must possess or be eligible for PA Automotive Technician Certification – 2575 (CIP Code 47.0604).

The instructor will conduct all classroom activities as well as other professional duties as required.

Experience:
Four (4) years of documented wage-earning experience in related industry.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess/or obtain prior to start ASE Master Automobile Technician certification
  • Must be willing to fulfill teaching certification requirements
  • Knowledge of current trends in the industry
  • Instructional/motivational techniques
  • Technology as an instructional tool
  • Background clearances as per PA School Code

Salary/Benefits/Terms:

  • Based on certification status, teaching experience, and years in industry in coordination with Professional contract $55,468 - $109,756
  • Excellent benefits including healthcare and retirement
  • Anticipated start – August 2025
